Aakar Tech.
Aakar (ਆਕਾਰ) is the Punjabi word for shape. Aakar Tech is a small software studio in Abbotsford, BC, run by its founder, Harman Kumar. It gives local businesses a website, a Google listing and a phone line that work the way customers expect, so the business can be found, trusted and reached.
Who you are dealing with
Harman Kumar, founder. You talk to him on the first call, he writes your scope, and he is the one you phone when something needs changing. There is no account manager and no hand-off to a junior. Harman speaks English and Punjabi, and the whole project can be done in Punjabi if you prefer.
What we build
- Websites for trades and local service businesses: fast on a phone, tap-to-call on every screen, a quote form that works, and your Google Business Profile set up to match. You edit the words and photos yourself afterwards.
- AI phone answering through GreetQ, our own product. Every call answered, nights and weekends included, with the job details texted to you.
- Local SEO and AI search: schema, speed, sitemap and Google Business Profile cleanup, plus a site that Google AI and ChatGPT can read and cite, so you show up when someone nearby searches or asks.
- Tune-ups and automation: the Google listing done right, a five-day tune-up for a site you already have, and back-office automation such as quotes chased and invoices sent, built around tools you already pay for.
Prices are on the pricing page. Every one is agreed in writing before work starts, and every site is owned by you: domain, code, content and logins.
How a project runs
- Free check-up. We look at how your business shows up on Google, what happens when someone calls after hours, and what your website does on a phone. You get the findings whether or not you hire us.
- Written price. One page: what is included, what it costs, when it is done. Half up front on builds, the rest before go-live.
- Build and handover. Two to three weeks for a standard site. You see the design early enough to change your mind cheaply. At the end you get a walkthrough you can keep, and the logins.
Our own products
We run software before we sell it. All three are live.
- GreetQ — an AI phone receptionist that answers calls around the clock and texts a summary.
- ServeLocal — a jobs, quotes and invoicing CRM built for BC trades.
- RateLocal — Google review requests by text. Same link for every customer.
Where we work
Abbotsford is home. The Fraser Valley, from Hope and Agassiz to Langley, Maple Ridge, Surrey and White Rock, is close enough for an in-person kickoff or handover. Metro Vancouver is done remotely, which works fine, because most of the work is online anyway.
What we will not do
- Promise rankings, call volumes or revenue. Nobody honest can.
- Sell a template as custom work, or hide a monthly fee inside a build.
- Hold your site hostage. If you leave, you take everything with you.
- Send your private files to a public AI without telling you first.
